Women's Giving Circle

A giving circle is a form of participatory philanthropy – individuals make donations that are pooled together, and the group collectively makes a choice about how the funds will be spent. For the BVEF Women’s Giving Circle, up to three grants will be presented to members at each event. A $100 donation entitles an individual to attend the event and vote for the grant of their choice. $15,000 will collectively be spent on the winning grant.

Through the grants that we award, we provide the support needed for our teachers and staff to personalize their approach to teaching each student, maximizing outcomes for each and every child in our district. We proudly partner across all parts of our community to ensure that the students in our community have access to all the support they need to be successful.

We are thrilled to surprise new teachers by providing “Welcome to Blue Valley” teacher packages at their orientation in August. In this latest tradition, every new district teacher is given monetary gift cards of $100, discount cards/coupons to area businesses, and special teacher-only shopping opportunities to help mitigate out-of-pocket expenses to set up their classrooms.
