Through our signature fundraising events, BVEF brings together community members, students and teachers to celebrate educational excellence and raise funds to support programs that help Blue Valley exceed traditional classroom limits.
There are many ways to support Blue Valley Schools. We offer the opportunity to pick a sponsorship level and spread the funds across multiple programs and events. This package option allows you to maximize your exposure at a funding level that fits your budget.
“BVEF events are a great way to market your company to the Blue Valley community. They are always well attended, well-run and FUN!”
— Bronson Ko, KOMA Founder and CEO
Plans are in full swing for Blue Valley Educational Foundation's 34th Annual Community Breakfast. Guests will enjoy student performers, student emcees, and an opportunity to hear from Superintendent Dr. Tonya Merrigan. Our theme for this year's event is: The Power of One and will highlight the impact one student, one teacher, one school, one district and one community can make on a lifetime. Tom Mitchell, former BVEF Board Member and Blue Valley School District Board of Education member, has been selected as the 2024 BVEF Hall of Fame inductee. Funds raised through the Community Breakfast are used to fund Excellence in Education classroom grants and impact grants benefiting the entire District.
For information on the 2024 Community Breakfast, please contact Susan Tideman.
Breakfast sponsorships make a tremendous impact on our district through teacher and classroom grants, district-wide performing arts initiatives, a diverse schedule of mental health and wellness programs, and supporting teacher recruitment and retention efforts.
Individual tickets to the event are $100 and available now.
Women’s Giving Circle offers a $15,000 grant opportunity two times a year to an individual school, a grade level across the district, or a department-wide curriculum. Grant proposals, submitted by principals, administrative leaders, or classroom teachers, are narrowed down to three finalists selected. Finalists will present at the Women’s Giving Circle gathering where voting members, donors, will select the winning grant. Register.
A giving circle is participatory philanthropy, individuals make donations that are pooled and collectively awarded to the winning grant. For the BVEF Women's Giving Circle, up to three grant applications will be presented to members at the spring and fall event. A $100 donation entitles an individual to attend the event and to vote for the grant of their choice. Up to $15,000 will collectively be awarded to the winning grant.
Want to participate but can't attend? All registered Women's Giving Circle members who are unable to join us will receive copies of the grant applications and an opportunity to vote prior to the gathering.
